These qualities are abundant in the signature pieces from this season’s womenswear collection: the Kalahari Jacket and the matching Safari Trousers.
Both these garments are made in England from a fine weave 100% Japanese cotton fabric, which is deceptively strong, yet luxuriously soft and smooth. The jacket is half lined in 100% cotton and cut to give a classic safari image with flattering feminine detailing and shape.
The lightweight material and air-circulating structure will keep you cool on the hottest of afternoons in the sun, while providing protection from the elements and the ravages of the terrain.
The Kalahari Jacket’s practicality should not detract from its elegance. The tight, even stitching and flattering, cinched-waist silhouette, along with the soft-touch fabric, will also look super-smart in the hotel bar or first-class lounge.
The Safari Trousers, which match perfectly with the Kalahari have a comfortable, straight cut leg, with twin map pockets, a zip fly and belt loops. Hip and rear pockets provide ample stowage and the olive green 100% cotton is cool and dries fast.
Blixen Jacket
Other highlights of the collection include the return of our debut ladies safari jacket, the Blixen Jacket. This update arrives in the same cotton fabric as the Kalahari but features a full-belt, traditional safari look with two additional breast pockets and a slightly looser, unstructured fit. The Blixen is unlined for maximum cooling and easy drying. It also sports a useful inside pocket.
The latest version of the Blixen is available in a flattering stone hue named 'Desert'. With the rise of clientele requesting a full safari outfit, we offer the matching Safari Trousers, should a suit be desired. They can, of course, be purchased and worn separately.
Ladies Safari Shirt
The Ladies Safari Shirt is available in two colours and may be worn tucked or loose. With its flattering tapered-waist torso, it looks elegant either way. Cut from a strong, mid-weight 100% cotton drill, our safari shirt provides an ideal everyday mid-layer while being sufficiently robust to wear as a single layer, where some sun and foliage protection is desirable.
Nicely cut on the shoulder with epaulettes featuring Westley Richards genuine horn buttons, two breast pockets add to its practicality, and concealed buttons deliver a degree more protection from the elements.
Akeley Safari Shirt Jacket & Courteney Boots
Finally, the Akeley Safari Shirt Jacket is the best of both worlds; a full-belt safari style that is both hardwearing and casual. Crafted in Italy by a family-run workshop using a lightweight dry-waxed cotton canvas, it offers durability with a refined, lived-in feel that requires minimal care.
