Westley Richards

Gun and Rifle Makers

US Agency

Westley Richards has always been proud of its close links to the hunting community in the United States of America. The history of this relationship can be traced back to the great hunters of yesteryear, industrialists such as Kodak founder George Eastman, film star Stewart Granger and legendary writers Ernest Hemingway, Elmer Keith and Robert Ruark, all of whom were endorsees of the big game rifles built by the company, particularly on the best hand detachable lock action.

Our first US Agency was opened in 1996, and since then we have built up a solid reputation for knowledge, honesty, fair dealing and, most importantly, customer service. Now based in Gulf Breeze, Florida, the operation is headed up by the very capable E.Duke ‘LD’ McCaa. Encompassing 3,000 square feet, our showroom offers the very best of Westley Richards right on your doorstep.

Ernest Hemingway, the journalist, author and adventurer, was a proud possessor of a Westley Richards .577 which he used on safari in Africa in 1953 – shortly after the publication of his novel The Old Man and the Sea, and just before he received the Nobel Prize for literature.
