J. Purdey & Sons 12g Over/Under Two Barrel set. 

Ordered new in the early 1990’s and acquired from the original owner. Built on Purdey’s improved Woodward sidelock ejector O/U action. House R&S engraving on very bright and vivid case colored action, with single non-selective trigger, automatic safety and gold lined cocking indicators and “SAFE” inlaid in gold. 

The stock and single forend have nice figure has. The butt stock has a Woodward grip with extended trigger bow and horn capped grip with a leather pad and drop points. The forend is the slim O/U style.

The two barrel set includes two 28” barrels with original Vent Ribs. One barrel choked 1/4 and 3/4 and the other barrels are choked Full/Full.  

Deceivingly lively for a gun over 7 lbs. Gun is in excellent condition and In the Maker’s Best Oak & Leather case with accessories and leather & canvas dust cover.
