A rare pair of 12g boxlock ejector, 2 Inch shotguns by Arthur Tuner of Sheffield. Built on a fixed lock, scroll back, ejector actions with two triggers and automatic game safeties. Tastefully engraved with a decorative scroll and the name in a banner, with some very slight traces of colour still present. They are narrow actions with a slim file up. Replacement 26" barrels by the maker which have 1982 London proof marks have 2" chambers, a raised engine turned top rib engraved in gold 'FOR 2 INCH CASE ONLY'. No. 1 gun is choked 1/2 in the right and Full in the left, the No. 2 gun is choked improved cylinder in the right and 3/8" in the left, with some external pitting at the muzzle end. The semi pistol stocks measure 13 5/8" to the centre of the rubber recoil pads, gold ovals and splinter forends. The guns are gold numbered 1 & 2 in the normal places. Weighing 5lbs 4oz and cased in the makers motorcase, these are a neat pair of 'Boys Guns'.
