Attractive little Webley & Scott 16g boxlock ejector model 701. Proof marks date it from around 1957. 30" barrels with 2 3/4" chambers, concave rib, choked 3/8 in the right and 5/8 in the left. Classic Webley boxlock action with two triggers, automatic game safe, full scroll coverage and retains some case colours. Nicely figured, straight hand stock measures 14 3/4" with a gold oval, splinter forend with push rod release. A well balanced and lively gun but with a steady swing due to the longer barrels. The gun remains in good condition with mint bores and .030" wall thickness in both barrels.
