All sizes of Sutherland feature Westley Richards’ unique scroll-print lining, an internal pocket, luggage tag and solid brass fittings. Best brass zips are reinforced with rugged, saddle-grade leather straps. The Bournboook is our more overtly luxurious 48-hour bag intended for the discerning traveller. We believe the ultimate expression of luxury for the customers we know and value is a combination of great design, quality materials and flawless construction. The end result is the best bag of its type that can be bought, hugely practical and oozes class in the understated manner that the knowledgeable few will recognise.
The Bournbrook Briefcase re-imagines the 48-hour bag as a soft briefcase-sized companion for the office, which doubles-up as an overnight bag, having ample space for a wash-bag, lap-top, phone, charger, pens and a change of undergarments.
Like the 48-hour bag, the Bournbrook briefcase features twin outer pockets, with gun-stock style checkering on the leather flaps, a detachable leather strap, Paul Lantuch-designed scroll-pattern lining and Westley Richards-branded brass hardware.
For air-travel convenience, the briefcase features a trolley carry-slip pocket, so that it can be secured on the extended handle of a wheeled suitcase. Internally, a padded laptop compartment keeps things neat.
Available in canvas or leather, in a range of permanently-available shades and finishes, as well as seasonal limited editions, the Bournbrook, like the other bags featured here, is hand-made to order and a high degree of customisation is available, making each bag unique.
The Tote, introduced in 2025, in canvas, suede or leather, is a deceptively simple, yet utterly beguiling everyday bag with an internal zipped pocket, laptop compartment and adjustable leather strap-handles. It carries its Westley Richards branding through its custom brass hardware and the Lantuch-designed lining.
Simple ideas are often the best and the, apparently simple, Tote bag is proving hugely popular because it takes a simple concept and perfects it. It is available in two sizes depending on your usage, a 16 litre version (16L) and 20 litre version (20L), both offering great versatility.
The new Tote bag may be in demand but our most popular bag over the years has been, and remains, the iconic Bishop, named after our former London agent William Bishop, affectionately known as ‘The Bishop of Bond Street’ and a man who helped cement Westley Richards’ reputation among London’s high society sportsmen during the Victorian era.
The Bishop currently takes two forms: the classic and the Hill Bag, which is larger and designed to accept a Billingham 'Packington' padded insert to transform it into a state-of the art camera bag, while retaining its classy aesthetic.
The original design is the Bishop classic, based on a fishing bag that was popular a century ago. It features twin outer bellows pockets, easy-access stud-and-buckle fasteners, an internal zip pocket and the Westley Richards branded hardware and lining common to our other ranges.
