When not wrestling with tons of bronze, creating sculptures such as a life sized Elephant, Mike spends his time at home in Africa painting what, in my opinion, are amongst the nicest wildlife paintings available today. These are not paintings taken like most, from photographs, but ones which have been sketched in the bush under the sun! I have always particularly liked these oil sketches which develop over time and perhaps remain in sepia or perhaps have some colour added. Visit Mike Ghaui online and on Facebook or his work is available through Gerald Peters Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Everard Read Gallery in South Africa or the Pangolin Gallery in London, each of which are always worth a visit when in the respective towns.
