A Westley Richards .470 Hand Detachable Lock Double Rifle. Engraved by Paul Lantuch.
When I had Paul Lantuch and Vince Crowley for supper last week, one of the conversations we had was around the time taken to engrave their respective .600 sidelock rifles. Vince was shaking his head at what Paul had achieved in the same time frame he was working on. When I showed him this rifle, that had also been completed in that time frame Vince shook his head even harder in amazement.

Ahhhhh! Just fell under my chair… must be photoshop… too good to be true!
There is a vote for NO colour here! Colours can be stunning like a Kodachrome or Autochrome, but at the end of the day nothing beat the B&W.
Cheers from Hungary, Lajos

I don’t think I have ever seen such incredible engraving, it is mind blowing. The gunsmithing looks pretty fine as well I’d add!

Absolutely stunning, the space is filled with exquisite engraving without being vulgar. Fantastic design which still shows the gun as a hunting weapon, not just a canvas for a bulino engraving of something which has nothing to do with hunting.
Really well done.
