.500 3" Hand Detachable Lock Double Rifle
Well they just keep coming! Another .500 3" hand detachable lock double rifle has just been completed from engraving this week and it once again shows a subtle variation on the classic Westley Richards 'house' scroll. Yet another style of carved fence which combines a banner with acanthus leaves, nice indeed.

WR steadily cranks out these beautiful bespoke firearms in the face of a world of mass production and sameness. So very glad to see each and every one of these spectacular works of art such as this beautiful piece.

I thought it interesting as to approx how many double rifles Westley Richards turned out to happy customers in the last year. From my count it is approx 8-12 guns? I may not be exact, but I would like to know how many the other three London gun makers have out in the last year??? That is not counting any of the shotguns or bolt action rifles that left your factory. As your readers know large bore Double rifles seperate the men from the boys in builders!! So keep up the great work, knowing the reason that so many Best guns are going through the door is because Westley Richards makes the Best English Gun, that’s not taking price into account…BEST GUN PERIOD!!! Be well and i look forward to continue seeig your new post.Good Day Trigger,

Dear Trigger
Business seems to be going great at Westley Richards, time and again beautiful guns appear with unending regularity confirming just how highly ‘WR’ is regarded within the shooting community!
This individual rifle will serve it’s owners for generations to come, good luck with it, great choice, beautiful classic Westley!
Kind Regards. Peter.

Really quite stunning work and the carved fences add a nice touch. I’m excited to hear about this one going into the field and perhaps the owner will share a story with us!
