The Little .410 Westley Richards Droplock returns from Case Colour Hardening.

I showed this gun a few weeks ago in its 'back from engraving' state. Here it is again, now with the case colour hardening completed, on the way next week to the finishing shop!

Such perfect harmony among the elements may never again be achievable.

Difficult choice, the gun looks fantastic in both colour and grey. The stock colour and the amount of fiddle in it will probably make it easier to make a decision. Superb photos.

Simon the Explora has spoken.Sadly the paying customer has no choice in the matter and must accept the inevitable!

I went back to your 6 May post on this gun. It is a tough decision to leave the gun case colored. The engraving looked great without the case coloring. I also like the patina over time (use) of guns that are case colored. Since the coloring is done, if it was my choice, I’d leave it case colored.
