The Holland & Holland Royal double rifle is the most copied double rifle in the world, with very good reason, it is a beautiful looking and handling rifle, a rifle that set the standard many years ago as the very finest English sidelock express rifle available. It seems if anyone embarks on making an express rifle nowadays or even over the past 30 years the Holland Royal is the rifle they try to emulate, none in my opinion have ever succeeded.
The shape, weight and every little detail can be copied and made with superb craftsmanship but without the magic name they are but that, good copies, like a Chinese Rolex, just not the same as the real deal.

Holland and Holland amongst other great names, still hand make and fit some of the most beautiful, accurate and balanced express rifles today. History has proved their worth. Yes the Italians and Germans do and can compete but they lack the poise and lineage of an English/London gun.

yes,i agree,here in moscow we have now many customers who say London guns are bullshit in quality when compared to austrian german and italian guns and rifles,most russian who buy this London made guns,says that this is Waste of Money and time,they say finest guns are hartmann weiss filli rizzini fabbri peter hofer and othe austrian german italian masters,who truly make the finest and best guns in the world,i have 39 London guns for sale,but nobody buy them bcz of poor quality of craftmanship,its sad but true.
