It has been wrong for me to assume that everyone has a copy of our book, an assumption which has led to my not posting many of the photographs from the publication on the basis that they have all been seen before!

Upon further inspection it says Richards not W.Richards or Westley Richards. It appears to be older than 1812 when Westley Richards started manufacturing. It is a flintlock with a flashpan not a breech gun

We would love to learn more about the single barrel muzzle loading pigeon gun with the extraordinary engraving and how that engraving has inspired new guns. Perhaps illustrated by images of the old and new juxtaposed?
