Whenever one of these 'Gold Name' guns is completed the typical question of why somebody would order such a gun without any engraving comes up. Many assume it is a cost cutting exercise but nothing could be further from the truth. Building guns is an expensive business regardless and for some clients the gun in its purest form brings as much pleasure as a highly embellished one. The client of this particular gun is lucky enough to own several of our guns and rifles, many highly ornate. This one should add nicely to the collection whilst being a totally practical and elegant gun to use.
Vivid case colour hardening is one of the highlights of a 'Gold Name' Westley Richards.
Cased extra hand detachable locks complement this 12g droplock.
The lines of this gun are only enhanced by the elegant Woodward style grip.

Hi Trigger
High end ‘Elegance’, that liquid timber flowing beautifully into the scroll back action, what a marriage of timber and steel outstanding!
Only ever seen two of the “Bishop” cardboard cartridge boxes before!
Best regards
Peter.

Absolutely beautiful!
Is it normal to leave the extra locks in the cocked position? Is this not hard on the springs long term?
I’m also curious if the locks must be cocked to install.

Hi Ken
Correct on the gold oval. This is one that is hand painted with the gentleman’s family crest. We have been doing these for quite some time now and although awkward to execute, they making a stunning feature.
Best regards
Trigger

Trigger,
Great looking stock and the Gold Name allows the stock to stand out even more. The stock oval appears to have more than just engraved initials. Does the oval have some type of enamel work?
All the Best,
Ken
