The Damascus Droplock Pair have a first day in the Field.
I think this is a nice and fitting conclusion to the story of the pair of Damascus Barrel guns, which both I and new owner Gary Duffy have both posted about, to show that they have made their way through the restoration and on to a new life in the field doing what they do best!

I know the joy of hunting with vintage Westleys. It is great that the new caretaker of that beautiful pair of Westley droplocks has put them back to work for what they were designed to do. He must be very satisfied.

A pair of very nice guns indeed, and it is great to see them in use rather than just in a cupboard.

By my reckoning this was Simon's last posting on The Explora. It is very sad to realise there will be no more. I always enjoyed reading his posts.
Thank you Simon and rest easy.
