Duane Wiebe .375 HH Mag. Custom Model 70

All metal work done by Duane Wiebe and built on a pre-‘64 action with a reshaped rear tang and bolt release, jeweled magazine follower, bolt body, and 3-panel checkered bolt knob. Action is fitted with claw mounts with 1” rings. 

24” octagon barrel with integral quarter rib, sling eye, and ramp front sight. Quarter rib has 1 standing/1 folding leaf sight (100, 200 yds) each lined in gold, the top of the quarter rib is marked: “No 1188 Duane Wiebe – Gunbuilder”.

Bottom metal and grip cap have border engraving of tastefully done scroll and signed “G. Forte – Eng.” on the floorplate. All finished in a deep satin, rust blue finish. 

Rifle was stocked by Joe Smithson in a superbly figured walnut stock with RH cheekpiece, 14.5” LOP over thin red rubber pad, ebony forend tip, and point pattern 22 LPI, checkering with Mullered borders. 

Maker of some of America’s finest custom rifles, work by Mr. Wiebe is also rarely encountered on the second hand market. This rifle is superb in every way!
