The style of stock: half and full pistol grip or straight hand, is chosen, according to the type of gun and the customer's preference, then scores of hours are spent shaping, fitting, checkering, smoothing, oiling and polishing the wood until it fits seamlessly to the action and perfectly to the customer's shoulder. Exhibition grade finished stock - the walnut is shaped, oiled and polished to enhance the natural beauty of the grain.
