Exhibition engraving can take a client's initial idea and use it to create an exquisite miniature sculpture. Inspiration for the design can come from the world of nature: incorporating rare and exotic birds and beasts, interpreting historic events and scenes or even be purely abstract; there are few limits to the client's imagination or to the engraver's creativity. The final design may be deeply sculpted to add a further dimension to the image, finely etched to create texture and contract and inlaid with differing precious metals to add warmth and colour.
